Bachelor of Speech Pathology (La Trobe)
Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)

Lauren has over a decade of experience working in both primary and secondary schools in Victoria and overseas in London, UK. Her settings have allowed her to work collaboratively with teachers, education support staff, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, counsellors, allied health assistants and parents. Lauren’s passion is understanding the young person holistically and then working with all stakeholders to ensure the best approach to meet their needs that is meaningful and impactful to them. This includes a neuroaffirming approach for all people.

Clinically, Lauren enjoys supporting literacy, articulation, language and social communication relevant to their pragmatic functions to access their community and environment. In schools, Lauren works with the school leadership team to understand the school’s cohort to investigate and implement a whole school practice where applicable to supporting the students.  Within her team, she supports the section to the students’ needs and ability to access all programs whilst addressing barriers and leaving the students feeling empowered to have a go and advocate for themselves, as well as educating staff around complex communication needs including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) supports.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys being active, whether it be a gym class, swim, water polo or running or exploring a new restaurant or bakery. She also coaches school sports and is a volunteer lifesaver.  Lauren looks forward to working with the family to best identify the young person’s points of need and work within their strengths to achieve their goals.
